Boy Scouts of America–LaSalle Council
of Matching Funds Remaining
The LaSalle Counil is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America that serves eight counties across Northern Indiana and Southwest Lower Michigan. The council is divided into geographic areas called districts. There are four districts within the boundaries of LaSalle Council. Over its lifetime, LaSalle Council has helped over hundreds of thousands of young people become "Prepared. For Life." The programs of the Boy Scouts of America serve young people by enabling them to develop healthy habits and make positive choices. Scouting values emphasize; a lifelong appreciation of personal fitness, including the prevention of bullying, environmental stewardship & sustainability, and leadership development. Scouting is both fun and empowering; introducing young people to careers and preparing them to be active citizens.
All money generated through Give Local will be used to directly grow our programs throughout St. Joseph County. We will be using these proceeds to help market Scouting, provide camp scholarships, provide uniforms and handbooks, and necessary improvements at our camp property to provide new and exciting activities.
Your investment in LaSalle Council changes lives. That might sound like an exaggeration, but not to the over 7,000 boys and girls participating in programs throughout the council. Each day, they build self-confidence and learn to be leaders. There are few greater gifts you can give to a young person, than the chance to develop their leadership and character to their full potential.
